The Harman Luxury Audio Group is bringing high-end home theatre to ISE 2013. Visitors to its booth will be able to get hands-on with a range of prestigious kit, including the JBL SDP-45 surround processor, Mark Levinson No.52 reference pre-amplifier, JBL S3900 floorstander and Revel Performa3 series loudspeakers. All products are distributed by Karma-AV. Showgoers will also be able to experience a hardcore home cinema demo produced in association with Screen Research.
Featured on the Harman LAG stand will be JBL's S3900 loudspeaker, a three-way floor-standing tower sporting dual 10-inch woofers, designed for either high performance two channel systems or as the L/C/R in a multichannel JBL Synthesis installation. It'll be joined by the JBL Synthesis SDP-45, a 7.1 channel surround processor sporting eight HDMI inputs, balanced and single-ended connections and simplified user interface.
Also on display will be the Mark Levinson No 52, an all-analogue dual-monaural amplifier with a two-chassis configuration that separates analogue audio circuitry from control. Inputs include three balanced XLRs, four unbalanced RCA phono line-level inputs and a dedicated phono input, selectable for moving coil (MC) or moving magnet (MM) operation.
Harman will also be unveiling the full Revel Performa3 loudspeaker series, which utilise proprietary aluminium drivers and are available in high-gloss walnut or piano black (or white) finishes. The set comprises two floor standers, two bookshelf monitors, two centres, a specialised dipole/bipole surround speaker and two active subwoofers. Visitors to the stand will also get the first look at the incoming Series 2 and 3 architectural speakers from Revel, as well as a prototype Mark Levinson integrated amp.
Promising to be an ISE show highlight though is the Reference Home Theatre Room. Produced in association with Screen Research, the 35 sqm room will feature a JBL Synthesis Atlas system, including four 18-inch subwoofers, driven by 6,000 watts of amplification. The display is a 140-inch Screen Research E-Mask 2.40:1 screen with lateral masking and ClearPix 4K White 1.0 screen material. Projection is courtesy of Avielo's Studio Edition E three chip DLP projector via a Lumagen Radiance XE video scaler.
Harman LAG can be found on the Harman Professional Stand 1-M22
at ISE, as well as in the JBL Synthesis demonstration theatre (on
the Screen Research booth, 1-N73) in partnership with Screen
Research.
