Distributor AWE is now supplying Draper ReAct high-brightness projection screens in both fixed and tab-tensioned electric versions. The ambient light-rejecting fabric is designed to enhance colour and contrast in situations where a complete room blackout is either not possible, or not desired. It's finding favour in general use media room applications.

The ReAct Clarion fixed screens are available in a range of sizes, from 92- to 133-inches. The Adaptive tab-tensioned electric versions range from 86- to 104-inches. Bespoke sizes are available to special order.

The silver/grey screen has the same 1.0 gain as a matt white screen.

With the Clarion fixed frame version, a black Vel-Tex covered aluminium frame forms a 3.8cm border around the screen. There’s no requirement for special fixing tools. The fabric attaches seamlessly to the frame to form a perfectly smooth viewing surface. The Vel-Tex finish helps eliminate reflections.

This fabric enables end users to enjoy superior performance in ambient light, which is ideal for a multipurpose space where some lighting is desired,” says Stuart Tickle, MD of AWE. “Not everyone wants or can achieve total blackout!”

For installers working on a classic home theatre, Draper also offers Matt White and acoustically transparent NanoPerf materials. AWE and Draper formed an exclusive relationship in September 2015.
