Denon has inked a deal with TIDAL, the CD-quality music streaming service, that will see the service finally available on its HEOS multiroom wireless system. “This is a perfect partnership because we both cater to music listeners who appreciate and understand the quality of music - it is a top priority,” says Don Freeman, Denon’s VP of Marketing. Heos users can access their TIDAL account via the HEOS app.
The partnership keeps the CI-frinedly mass-market multiroom proposition in line with its major rival Sonos, as well as high-res challenger Bluesound. In addition to predefined playlists and favorites,Tidal users also benefit from curated editorial recommendations, album presentations, playlists, articles, features and interviews.
In related news, Amazon has rolled out Prime Music in the UK, its own streaming movie proposition. Free to takers of its £79 a year Amazon Prime delivery and service package, it offers a wide portfolio of artists and boasts a million songs but crucially misses out on the Universal Music catalogue. And there’s no Taylor Swift either.
HEOS by Denon is available through AWE. For more on AWE’s products and services, visit out partner page here.
