Leading CI distributor AWE Europe says it's expecting a significant attendance boost for its training programmes, after scooping the 'Best Training Initiative by a Trade Supplier' gong at the recent CEDIA Awards. Honoured for its three-day Philips Dynalite training course, AWE's Managing Director Stuart Tickle (pictured above, holding the trophy) says his team worked closely with Philips Dynalite to create an in-depth theory and practical-based session.
"We've had great feedback from installers who've already attended the course" says Tickle, "we expect to see more dealers signing up now that it has been recognised by CEDIA. Apparently it was by far the best, which is testament to the hard work put in by Craig and the team over the past year."
The course continues to be held at AWE's training centre in Epsom. Split into two parts, it comprises a one-day introductory training module, which covers the basic design of a lighting control system using Philips Dynalite architecture, and a follow-up which takes the installer or programmer through the commissioning process using Philips Dynalite software tools. AWE says that at the end of the two-day event, attendees will know how to configure a Philips Dynalite system to produce a bespoke package.
