AWE Europe has announced a partnership with UK video distribution and control outfit HD Connectivity. The duo unveiled their joint training and sales collaboration on the eve of AWE's new HQ Open Day and Expo.

AWE will sell HD Connectivity's HDanywhere-branded 4K-compatible Modular video distribution system, recently voted 'Best Video Distribution Solution' in the awards issue of trade magazine SVI, along with URC integration options. Using a patented system of interchangeable input/output module options, integrators can specify which signal transmission technology is used for each TV location (HDMI, HDBaseT Pro, HDBaseT Lite and HDBaseT-in). When Inside CI visited AWE, HDanywhere Modulars were already commissioned and routing AV around the company's new HQ (pictured above).

AWE MD Stuart Tickle told Inside CI: "HD Connectivity has always been very vocal about its direct sales model, but actually there's a lot of synergy between us. HD Connectivity needs a control system to operate. It's an HD over IP video distribution system. But we as a company also need a video distribution system - and we're very happy to hang our hat on HD Connectivity, and them likewise on URC."

URC New

Tickle adds that the tie-up is "actually a sales and training partnership - and URC integrates very well. The fact that URC training is free to any interested integrators and there is no minimum initial hardware order, is attracting a lot of interest from installers who want to offer something that sets them apart from the rest. By teaming up with HD Connectivity, we are able to reach a wider audience with our URC training and Complete Control product line-up."

"AWE's stunning new show apartment and training facilities provide an accessible southern location to experience and learn about HDanywhere," says Chris Pinder, MD of HD Connectivity. "Integrated with URC control, it's a compelling proposition for the end-user, achieving more with less hardware and cabling, particularly when utilising CEC to provide neater control of sources and displays over the HDMI cable."
