CI distributor AWE Europe has expanded into a larger facility in Epsom, Surrey. The new standalone building (pictured above) will not only allow for increased stock handling, but also provides a comprehensive new space for AWE's customers, suppliers and members of staff. The new facility will also incorporate a dedicated training facility with integrated equipment. An expanded showroom is also under construction.
"The entire building is undergoing a full refurbishment and will incorporate better facilities for training, showcasing products and wider business development," explains managing director Stuart Tickle. In addition to the increased warehouse space, the result will be " a much better environment. The building has been called 'Alexander House', a family name taken from the founder of the company, my Great Grandfather, and my Grandfather who later took over…."
Tickle reveals that in line with the move, AWE is also revamping its corporate branding and working on a completely new website. "The current company logo is recognized by many in the industry, so redesigning it was a difficult decision to make. However, there are several advantages to the new branding and we feel that the time is now right to progress to the next phase of the company's development," he says.
The newly designed website will offer improved functionality alongside a new stock checking and ordering system. Coupled to informative product information and photography, it will make it even easier for trade customers of AWE to get exactly the right products they need, says Tickle.
