The annual spring AWE Expo will open its doors May 10-11, and visiting dealers and integrators are promised a number of key new product launches. The distributor will also unveil an updated show apartment and make several company announcements.

The AWE demo cinema has been upgraded, offering visitors the chance to experience the latest Draper ambient light-rejecting ReAct fixed screen. The ReAct is said to enhance colour and contrast in ambient light conditions. The cinema also now features the Marantz AV8802 processor and MM8077 power amplifiers, for Dolby Atmos and DTS-X immersive audio.

Also on display will be the latest HDR-ready 4K screens, including the Panasonic DX902, which is available in 58- and 65-inch screen sizes. At the event it will be partnered with the brand's DMP-UB900 4K Blu-ray player. Also on show will be the Samsung UE65KS8000, a 65-inch Quantum dot 4K display. It will be demonstrated with Samsung’s UBD-K8500 4K player.

A newly configured comms room has been fitted out with 2 x 44U SanusComponent Series AV racks. The racks come pre-assembled with blanking panels and vented shelves, and include back stops to ensure that equipment does not move during use. Quick-release back and side panels provide unobstructed access to components and wiring, while swivel casters and adjustable feet allow mobility and positioning.

There’s also an opportunity to get hands on with the TKP-5500 URC in-wall touchscreen, designed to fit a single-gang wall box. It can be used to control HEOS, KNX, NEST, Coolmaster and Philips Hue.

“It has been six busy months since the last AWE Expo and we already have so much new stuff to share with the industry,” says managing director Stuart Tickle. “These events are always a great way to get everyone together to introduce new products, and have some useful conversations about how the various systems can fit into projects that our dealers are working on.  Just one useful nugget of information can pay for the time spent visiting us!”

Other attractions include Loewe and LG TVs, a range of KEF speaker solutions, Sanus Cadenza AV furniture, the latest HDanywhere mHub matrix and the entire HEOS multiroom audio range including the professional DRIVE multi-zone amplifier. To register click here
