UK distributor AWE is launching two new training courses through the Smart Home Academy. Dedicated to providing both industry newcomers and veteran installers with the necessary skills to install the products safely, efficiently and skilfully, AWE has updated its training programme to reflect the latest developments within the smart home market.
The AWE Smart Home Academy: Foundation in Smart Home Control with URC – MX HomePro course is a one day session that teaches attendees how to specify and program a reliable control system. The course has been designed for those who are interested in becoming proficient in URC's MX HomePro range of products, which are ideal for single room and basic multi zone control. During the day, attendees will gain experience in building macros, using Logic and Variables, understanding network requirements and integrating third party control products, including QMotion, Philips Hue and HEOS By Denon.
The next available dates: Wednesday March 22, Wednesday April 5.
AWE Smart Home Academy: Designing an Immersive Audio Home Cinema is a one day course that focusses on the tools that are required to design an outstanding home cinema. Throughout the day, the trainer will focus on Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and other immersive audio technologies, cinema speaker placement, various projector technologies and how to select the best projector, specifying the correct AV receiver and the differences between projector screens, fabrics and systems. Students will leave with an understanding of the design processes and equipment choices that are required to create a truly immersive experience just as the director intended.
The next available date: Wednesday May 3
The AWE Smart Home Academy also offers five expert training courses, including The Foundation Workshop, Whole House Integration with URC Total Control, HDMI & 4K Distribution with HDanywhere, Wirefree Blind Course with QMotion and HDBaseT Expert Installer. AWE lends its facility to CEDIA as an official base for CEDIA education.
