Every spring, Panasonic holds the largest single brand dealer and media event in Europe. Hundreds of attendees get a chance to look at the company's upcoming product range up close, and quiz the engineers and marketeers behind the products. It's an extraordinary event - and naturally Inside CI was invited along.
This year's Convention held more resonance than usual, as it marked the 50th anniversary of the brand's European operation. It was also significant for other reasons. In the wake of some dire financials, due to a calamitous confluence of Earthquake, Tsunami, Floods, Strong Yen and economic meltdown, the brand has made some huge changes to its offering.
It seems the plasma giant is no longer prepared to sit back and hand the large screen LED TV market over to rivals, it's also waded in with affordable Passive 3D TVs. It even intends to become a major player in the world of LED lighting.
If you didn't get a chance to attend the show, visit it
