The tenth Integrated Systems Europe show proved to be the biggest yet. Attracting a record number of trade visitors (over 44,000), the halls of the Amsterdam RAI thrummed with activity for all three days.
The usual dizzying mixture of home automation, entertainment and digital signage exhibits was this year bolstered by a growing interest in Smart Building tech, and a raft of new hardware. As with CES before it, 4K Ultra HD displays sprung up on all the key screen manufacturers' booths, be it in the shape of huge public displays or interactive Touch panels. And there were plenty of wacky AV applications on show too.
HDBaseT also made big strides into the video distribution mainstream, with CYP unleashing a range of matrices and TX/RX units, HD Connectivity offering a first look at its Modular matrix, expected to roll-out early summer, and Wyrestorm unveiling HDBaseT amplification and matrix hardware.
And naturally there was all manner of audio on show, from
ultra-slim in-wall loudspeakers to high-end home theatre and hi-fi
offerings from the likes of CAT (pictured above), Synthesis, DALI
and others. For Inside CI's racy recap of the show
