LG will once again take up its familiar 8am opening slot on the International CES' media and analysts Press Day schedule, however the venue has changed. The CEA has announced that all 2013 CES press events, which take place on January 7th, have moved from the Venetian/Sands location to a new home in the South Convention Center of the Mandalay Bay hotel. One reason given is increased seating capacity. This will come as welcome news to regular attendees all too familiar with the snaking queues to attend conferences. The Mandalay Bay will also host CES Unveiled LAS VEGAS and the CEA's market research presentations, which both take place on the 6th.
Open exclusively to CES registered media and industry analysts, Press Day is the main showcase for CES exhibitors. The schedule is as follows:
LG Electronics 8-8:45 a.m. South Seas Ballroom
Level 3
Panasonic 10-10:45 a.m. Jasmine Ballroom Level
3
Pioneer, Inc.11-11:45 a.m. Breakers Ballroom
Level 2
VOXX International 11-11:45 a.m. Surf Ballroom
Level 2
Fuijifilm 12-12:45 p.m. Mandalay Bay Ballroom
Level 2
Netgear 12-12:45 p.m. Breakers Ballroom Level
2
Huawei (invitation only) 1-1:45 p.m.Surf Ballroom
Level 2
There will also be Power Sessions: 30-minute platforms for those companies looking to break news fast. These will take place on the level three, in South Seas Ballroom J.
A shuttle service, running from designated CES hotels to Mandalay Bay and the LVCC, will run from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the 7th. Of course, as a consequence attendees will need to budget extra time to travel from the Mandalay Bay to the LVCC, for Sony's traditional end-of-play press conference. A Huawei sponsored breakfast and lunch will happen in the Mandalay Bay press room, which can be found on level two, in Lagoon J, breakfast. These start at 7:30am and 11:30 respectively.
The showfloor opens in the Las Vegas Convention and World Trade Center/LVH and Venetian at 10am Tuesday, January 8th, and runs through to the 11th. As new events are scheduled, we'll add them here.
