Wyrestorm intros Quick Install matrix/receiver bundle

HDMI  Distribution  Matrix Switcher

HD distribution is about to get a little easier with the introduction of the Wyrestorm MX0404-QI Matrix/display receiver bundle. Combining the brand's new MX0404 4x4 Matrix with four single cable receivers, it's a tailored package which guarantees compatibility between source hardware, content and displays.

Rather pointedly, the QI stands for Quick Install. This assurance of a no-hassle set up will doubtless win favour with CI pros that don't want anything to do with EDID management issues or flaky HDCP. Wyrestorm, an HDMI Adopter organisation, believes it's an ideal solution for integrators working on both residential and commercial projects.

The MX0404-QI pack enables any four HDMI devices to be viewed independently and simultaneously on any four HD displays, with full 3D support and constant HDCP over distances of up to 40m, with two-way IR control. For total system flexibility, there's additional EDID configuration available through customisable DIP switch settings.

Users can command source components from the various display locations; control options include front panel IR, remote IR and RS232 integration with market leading control systems.

The system is cabled with single Cat5e/6/7 runs to each display point. The company describes this as "the quickest, most convenient and cost effective solution we could think of to make sure time spent on-site is as productive (and brief) as possible. After all, time is money."

Thanks for your kind feedback Darren. We are working hard on launch of new single cable options with the new 4x4 bundle, together with a range of HDBaseT "Lite" matrices from 4x4, 6x6 to 8x8 launching in May.
