WyreStorm is now shipping its first HDBaseT 2.0 extender, the EX-100-4K-PRO. The 5Play device can handle transmissions of 4K 60hz 4:2:0 up to 328ft or 1080p to 498ft, plus audio, two-way IR/Serial control, power and Ethernet along a single Cat6 cable.

Wyrestorm is pitching the EX-100?4K-PRO as a distribution for commercial applications in education and corporate sectors; perhaps for hooking up a PC source to an HDBaseT B2B projector or Smart whiteboard.

Connections include dual USB 2.0 passthrough with full data transfer and KVM functionality, dual 10/100 LAN Ethernet to connect up to three devices, two-way PoH and two-way S/PDIF audio passthrough.

The EX-100-4K-PRO supports stereo PCM and 7.1 multichannel (Dolby and DTS).  Audio can be extracted from the receiver via a 3.5mm analgue breakout, useful if you need to loop external speakers.  2-way PoH allows either transmitter or receiver to be remotely powered by the other. Both the transmitter and receiver offer connection for USB local host control and remote host control over HDBaseT.
