Wyrestorm will launch its modular MX-PP-POH Pro Plus Matrix at Infocomm 13 next week. This built-to-order addition to the brand's Pro Plus line of HDBaseT matrices is the first to offer power over HDBaseT, so there's no need to provide a power supply for receiving devices, and offers 16 fully customizable expansion bays with RS-232 control signal routing. The firm says it will also aggressively reposition other HDBaseT models at cheaper price points.
The MX-PP-POH delivers HD video, high-resolution audio, RS-232,IR and low voltage power via a single Cat5e/6 cable. Integrators have the option of an 8 module compact chassis, which measures two rack units high or a 16 module chassis at three rack units high; both can be configured via a new online web widget with any combination of analogue and digital transmission cards to best suit the nature of the job - be it a boardroom presentation switcher, enhanced HDBT splitter, or a full HD video and audio distribution solution.
Transmission card options include an HDMI input card with a mirror HDMI output, IR transmission and Power over HDBaseT; a DVI input card with RS232, IR and power (but no audio); an analogue audio input card for adding audio-only devices such as iPod docks and media servers; a VGA plus stereo audio input card, supporting resolutions from 640 x 480 to 1920 x 1200; a non-switching HDMI pass through card which will work with Wyrestorm's new Enado user interface due later this year, and an SPDIF optical out/stereo audio output card.
Configurations can vary between 3x8, 4x8, 6x8, 8x12, 6x14, 12x16, 10x32 or any variation in between. Maximum turnaround time for the build is currently quoted at 10 days. The brand says it's also dropping the prices on its non POH Pro Plus matrices, MX0404-PP, MX0606-PP, MX0808-PP and MX0808-PP-AUD, which it hopes "will open HDBaseT stability to all dealers and projects regardless of project size or budget."
