Live from ISE 2015, HDanywhere MD Chris Pinder offers the Inside TV team a slice of 4K ready LayerCake. LayerCake is an innovative three-part whole-home AV distribution system, comprised of a 8x8 video matrix, a 12x12 audio matrix and an 8-zone power amplifier. With LayerCake, custom installers can deliver up to eight zones of multiroom HD video and up to twelve zones of audio.

“LayerCake comprises an Ultra HD HDCP 2.2 video matrix that uses HDBaseT Class A technology. There’s a couple of extra surprises we’ll be revealing about this matrix in the coming months,” teases Pinder. One of these we know to be the incorporation of DarbeeVision Visual presence picture processing technology. A first in the world of distribution matrices, this picture processing tech is best know for its appearance on the latest Blu-ray player from Oppo. “The second layer of the system is an audio matrix," says Pinder. "This uses Digital Sound Processing to accept both analogue and digital inputs, such as HDMI, optical and coaxial. You can route those to 2.1 phono with cross over sub outputs. Just like a video matrix but routing the audio instead.”
