Epson took the wraps off its new laser home projector at ISE 2015, and in doing so threatened to change the face of the residential cinema space. Paul Wilson, Epson UK product manager, gave the Inside TV a preview of the EH-LS10000. “We’re delighted to unveil this flagship projector,” he enthused. “This is our first laser projector using blue laser technology to create a three light path system; it’s Epson’s first-ever foray into 3LCD Reflective as well.”

He added that this is “a technology we’ve worked on for a good few years and it’s the first time we’ve brought it to market.” Dynamics appear to be outstanding. “3LCD Reflective panels achieve a very high aperture ratio for very good contrast, as well as good light efficiency,” says Wilson. “The laser system itself is a super innovation for home cinema. We can achieve an absolute black dynamic contrast.” Speaking about the stylish design, Wilson explains: “The chassis is quite large, but this allows us to use very high quality cooling components.” Distribution is via AWE.
