Sonance will launch its new, attractively-priced Sonarray landscape audio system at ISE 2013. Satellite speakers for outdoor use are perennially popular, and the all-weather Sonarray sat/sub system, expected to retail for £2,500 when it begins shipping January 23, is certain to seed further interest. Distribution is via Habitech.

The all-in-one offering comprises eight SR1 satellites, each sporting a 3.5-inch anodised aluminium driver, and an 8-inch dual voice-coil underground subwoofer. The system is designed to distribute audio in outdoor spaces up to 185 sqm. Typically placed beneath shrubs and amid foliage, it installs in a daisy-chain configuration, with the subwoofer connected to both channels.

To cover larger grounds, Habitech also offers the Sonance Landscape Series (SLS) High Output (HO) system. It follows the same sat/sub form-factor as the Sonarray but can operate at much higher volumes to produce a wide, even soundfield. Typical applications include residential estates and resort grounds. The HO line comprises a 6.5-inch two-way LS87SAT satellite speaker and LS15SUB 15-inch dual voice coil subwoofer. A 70-volt design allows for multiple arrays in a simple daisy chain configuration, giving maximum scalability.

Sonance can be found on stand 1-N57 at ISE. Integrated Systems Europe will be held at the Amsterdam RAI, January 29-31.
