RTI has announced a slew of new control products to be unveiled at CEDIA Expo, including keypads and processors. The latest addition to its remote control line is the T3x. This zapper features a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen with improved screen swiping and haptic feedback, and has programmable hard buttons for quick access to common control functions, plus integrated Wi-Fi. The unit also has integrated grip sensors to keep the T3x awake during use, accelerometer for instant-on and a built-in camera and microphone for intercom functionality. The controller employs RTI's dual-RF platform, which supports both 433-MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4-GHz ZigBee for bi-directional comms with RTI processors and third-party electronics.
Also incoming are two new in-wall keypads, the KX3 and water resistant WK2 (pictured above). The KX3 features a 3.5-inch LCD display with five customisable hard buttons and built-in 2.4 GHz ZigBee antenna for connectivity with RTI wireless remotes. Other features include an integrated camera and microphone, proximity and ambient light sensors and Wi-Fi. The WK2 is designed for installation in bathrooms, kitchens and outdoor areas where moisture could be an issue.
Also new is the KX1, an audio distribution keypad with 1.2-inch OLED display, suitable for displaying cover art and song metadata. It has eleven customisable hard buttons, backlit volume level indicator and ambient light sensors.
RTI has
confirmed it will also extend its line-up of audio distribution
solutions at CEDIA. The AD-16x 16x16 audio matrix switcher
(pictured above) is intended for larger multi-zone audio installs -
up to 16 audio sources can be distributed to 16 zones. Control
options include IR/RS-232 and IP with two-way feedback. The AD-16x
also features audio pre-outs, a 10-band equalizer with presets and
web interface for zone setup and grouping. Finally, look out
for the XP-4 control processor (pictured below), which adds HDMI
connectivity (two in, one out) to the XP line.
