Control and automation manufacturer RTI has announced a two-way driver for Fusion Research's Play-Fi music server. The new driver, developed by Fusion, allows integrators to incorporate the Ovation-based server into RTI automation systems.
Developed by DTS, Play-Fi is an interoperable wireless music system supported by a number of hi-fi brands. The system has yet to really impact in the UK, but is gaining some traction Stateside. Specifically designed for custom install, the Fusion server acts as a bridge between automation systems and third-party amplifiers and speakers utilising Play-Fi technology. It supports up to six discrete sources (three physical and three Play-Fi). Streaming apps supported include Spotify, Tidal and Tune-In radio.
Using the Fusion Play-Fi two-way driver, users can browse music options, view album art and select the location they want to play music in.
"End-users desire easy access to their music with the freedom to listen anywhere they want," says Mike Everett, VP of sales and marketing. "With the Fusion Play-Fi driver, RTI dealers can integrate the Fusion Server into the RTI control system to simplify access to an amazing set of music sources throughout their clients' home."
The Fusion Play-Fi music server driver is available on the Fusion website. RTI is distributed by Invision UK. For more on Invision's product portfolio and services, visit our partner page here.
