Custom installers can now create a wireless mesh network with the Pro.rfz range extender from Pro Control. This smartly designed wireless antenna extends the ProLink.z processor's 2.4-GHz ZigBee wireless network, providing users with more reliable and expansive two-way control and feedback via the Pro24.z touchscreen remote. Distribution is via Invision UK

"The range extender is great news for installers as it's simple to configured using Pro Control Studio software and a micro USB cable," explains David Meyerowitz, sales specialist at Invision UK. "It's going to be a big hit with many of our customers who believe that good value doesn't have to come at the expense of advanced functionality."

The Pro Control ProLink.z control processor features an integrated 2.4-GHz ZigBee antenna for bidirectional communication via the Pro24.z, in addition to two RS-232 two-way ports for advanced control and monitoring of devices. It can also handle macros and features a variety of control options, including six routable IR ports with adjustable output strength, two voltage-sensing inputs for improved management of connected devices, and an Ethernet port for network control.

The partnering Pro24.z controller boasts a high-resolution 2.4-inch TFT LCD touchscreen display, programmable five-way joystick, and backlit hard buttons ideal for use in a darkened room or theatre. A Pro Control ProPanel iOS app is also available giving complete two-way control over any Pro Control system from an iPod touch, iPhone or iPad.
