Pioneer is looking to significantly increase its custom install profile in the UK, after signing an exclusive distribution deal with Invision UK. The distributor will handle the brand’s high-end LX range, which comprises the SC-LX58, SC-LX78 and SC-LX88 (pictured above) AV receivers, BDP-LX58 and BDP-LX88 Blu-ray players, plus a range of Dolby Atmos enabled floorstanding and bookshelf speakers.

Pioneer UK Sales Manager Geoff Wood says he's  "very happy" to be working with Invision: "With their technical knowledge and highly experienced sales team we believe we have a partnership that will propel Pioneer to new heights in the custom installation market.”

Pioneer ‘s AV receiver line has won multiple awards, and is distinguished by a number of key technologies, inclusing MCACC room correction and audiophile grade Class D amplifiers, capable of big dynamics and huge transients. Both the SC-LX78 and SC-LX88 also sport Air Studios branding. The sonic performance of the receivers has been tuned at the famous London recording studio, optimising their performance with both movies and music.

“As an industry we must not stop striving to make consumers aware that high quality audio is out there,” Woods told Inside CI. “Often, consumers are not 100 per cent clear what they want when making an audio purchase, due to the huge amount of technology available at the moment; it’s important not to intimidate them with too much terminology.”

Invision UK will also be stocking Pioneer’s first line-up of Dolby Atmos enabled speakers. The range comprises of the S-BS73A-LR bookshelf monitor, S-C73A centre channel and S-FS73A floorstanders. Both the bookshelf and floorstanding models feature an upward firing CST driver optimised specifically for the Dolby Atmos channel which reflects sound off the ceiling. This enables a Dolby Atmos configured cinema to be installed outside of a custom built room, where in-ceiling height speakers are not practical.

"The LX range is very prestigious and bolsters Invision’s offering by giving us a truly market leading product range to offer the mid-high end Home Cinema markets” enthuses Invision UK product sales manager Adrian Summers.
