WyreStorm, announced new additions to its senior management team with the Appointment of David Silberstein as Director of Technology, Vincent Philippo as VP International Sales and Mark Shaughnessy as National Sales Manager for Pro AV.

Coming from a strong telecommunications and product management background, David Silberstein joins WyreStorm as Director of Technology after almost two decades at Crestron, where he held the position Director of Sales Information.

Entrenched in the industry having attended the InfoComm show for the past 27 years, during his tenure at Crestron, his many achievements include the creation of the Crestron Technical Institute, yet within the industry he was also chairman of the Manufactures council for AVIXA and served on the Professional Education and training committee, helping to create CTS-I, CTS-N the basics of Audio Visual book, the BISCI audio visual standard and lead the creation of the Dashboard for controls and the update on its 15 year anniversary.  

In his new role as Director of Technology, Silberstein has wide-reaching responsibilities spanning all WyreStorm product development across each of the company’s HDMI, HDBaseT, fiber and AV over IP product lines, technical support and product documentation.  

Vincent Philippo has been appointed as WyreStorm Vice President of International Sales. With over 18 years experience in the audio visual and services industry, Philippo also comes from Crestron, where he was Regional Director for Middle East and Africa for 14 years . 

Philippo’s role as VP of International Sales will see him leverage his experience and ability to lead WyreStorm’s global sales outside the US, with him ideally located in the Netherlands for all WyreStorm sales managers and distribution partners across Europe, Asia and APAC regions.

WyreStorm's new  National Sales Manager, Pro AV is Mark Shaughnessy. He joins WyreStorm from a fascinating and varied background that includes Vice President of Operations for a major Hollywood studio and a 30-year member of the Screen Actors Guild.. 

At Crestron, Shaughnessy held a variety of managerial positions, including Consultant Liaison, Manager of Residential for Southeast and Mid-Atlantic, Business Development Manager for Southeast and Mid-Atlantic and Interim Executive Director of the Southeast.

As WyreStorm National Sales Manager for Pro AV, Mark is responsible for identifying and developing existing and new opportunities for WyreStorm product lines over HDMI, HDBaseT and NetworkHD AV over IP. Working closely with senior management, and the national sales team Mark’s remit is to leverage WyreStorm’s regional sales reps, consultants, dealers and end users to help grow awareness, educate and expand WyreStorm business within the Pro AV sector.

On the three recent additions to the company, WyreStorm’s CEO, Derek Hulbert stated, “WyreStorm’s approach is all about the right technology for the right application. With our multi-technology product offering, the correct selection becomes even more critical to achieve the most successful application - and it can be argued making sure you have the right people driving the company forward is equally important."
