WyreStorm has released two new in-wall HDBaseT 5Play transmitter and standalone PoH receiver kits. Aimed at providing inconspicuous local HDMI and VGA connectivity and distribution over distance, these are designed for use in meeting rooms, classrooms or residential environments.

The TX-IW-70-POH-KIT and TX-SW-IW-0201-KIT are 2-Gang in-wall Class A HDBaseT transmitter and standalone PoH receiver kits. They offer HDBaseT wall-plate TX/RX solutions for the delivery of HDMI and VGA with audio signals, for 4K or HD applications. The wall plates themselves feature front-facing local source connection of either HDMI only (TX-IW-70-POH-KIT) or auto-switching HDMI and VGA with audio input (TX-SW-IW-0201-KIT).

Class A HDBaseT 5Play support is suuitable for 4K UHD with HDR and HDCP 2.2, multichannel audio, bidirectional control via IR and RS-232, PoH power and Ethernet pass through over distances up to 70m/230ft or 1080p/60Hz/48bit up to 100m/328ft.

Both the TX-IW-70-POH-KIT and TX-SW-IW-0201-KIT can be used either as single source point-to-point extenders or as part of a compatible WyreStorm HDBaseT matrix system containing an HDBaseT input for decentralised source distribution.

CAB-HOAC-30_Cable _02 (1)

A new line of active optical HDMI cables for 4K UHD with HDR content, hasalso  been announced. The CAB-HAOC-20 and CAB-HAOC-30 active optical HDMI cables are rated af 18 Gbps up to 20m/65ft or 30m/98ft respectably, supporting full bandwidth 4K/60Hz at 4:4:4 8-bit and HDR 12-bit at 4:2:2 with HDCP 2.2.

Both 20m and 30m lengths ship ready-spooled. The 20mm cable head width allows it to be easily fed through conduits. Each end of the cable is colour-coded and labelled to make it easier to install, with space on connectors to write source or zone details for improved cable management.

TX-SW-IW-0201-KIT_Front

WyreStorm has also released its first 4K UHD splitter, the SP-0208-HDBT-H2, featuring the multiple transmission platforms of HDMI and both Class A and Class B HDBaseT.

Tailor-made for multi-screen and signage applications in hospitality and retail environments, the SP-0208-HDBT-H2 was developed as an alternative to transmitting an HDMI source over multiple distances to multiple locations where a matrix switcher is either too expensive or just over-specifying. Boasting three transmission technologies, the SP-0208 features dual HDMI inputs that can be automatically or manually switched to any of its four HDBaseT Class B, two HDBaseT Class A and two HDMI outputs.

The result is a unique set of transmission options that enable the distribution of 4K to 35m/115ft or 1080p to 70m/230ft using Class B HDBaseT, or for longer distances, 4K to 70m and 1080p to 100m/328ft.
