Wilson Audio has unveiled its smallest subwoofer, the Lōkē. Designed to partner the brand’s TuneTot bookshelf speakers, as well as the three most compact floorstanders in the Wilson range (SabrinaX, Yvette and Sasha DAW), it measures just 35.2 x 52.7 x 55.2cm (W/H/D).
Like TuneTot, Lōkē is designed to be flexible, and is suited to multiple applications and listening environments.
Unlike Wilson’s larger subwoofers, the WATCH Dog, Thor’s Hammer and Wilson Audio Subsonic, the Lōkē is an active model, with integrated 500W amplifier to drive its 10-inch driver.
The amplifier incorporates functionality borrowed from Wilson’s ActivXO Dual Subwoofer Crossover, including crossover frequency, crossover slope, phase, and level. The enclosure is made from proprietary, resonance-eradicating X-Material.
Despite the small footprint, it comes with a large price tag: £8,998 if you opt for standard colours; £9,500 for Upgrade colours, and £10,998 if your taste is more Premium Pearl. Distribution is via Absolute Sounds.
