US audio specialist Wilson Audio has announced the Sasha DAW. Hailed as an evolution of the world’s best-selling loudspeaker above $10,000, the WATT/Puppy, the new model supersedes the Sasha Series 2.

The Sahsa DAW adopts a modular design with separate upper midrange/treble and lower bass enclosures. The upper enclosure features the same 17.8cm midrange driver and 2.54cm tweeter featured in the £700,000-per-pair WAMM Master Chronosonic loudspeaker.

Both enclosures are built from Wilson Audio’s proprietary, ultra-vibration-resistant ‘X-material’ and ‘S-material’ composites.

As the Sasha DAW is a modular design, the drivers can be specifically aligned for each installation, for precise time domain regulation “for optimum accuracy and coherence.” The promise is “exceptional levels of sonic detail, dynamic range, transient speed and soundstage focus deliver an engrossingly realistic music performance.”

The lower enclosure utilises two redesigned 20.3cm bass drivers. To further augment bass performance, thicker X-material panels to reduce panel resonances have been used.

Hand-built in Utah, and finished in Wilson Audio’s automotive-class paint facility, the Sasha DAW has a UK retail price of £39,998 per pair. If you want premium WilsonGloss colours, they sell for £41,998 per pair. Custom finishes can also be ordered, colour matched to each customer’s specific requirements, at £43,998 per pair.

The first shipment arrive in the UK December. Distribution is via Absolute Sounds.
