Vivitek has introduced the DU4371Z-ST, a short throw, high brightness laser projector suitable for use in conference rooms, universities, galleries and museums.

Able to project images up to 278 inches from three metres (or 185-inches from two), and a brightness of 5,100 lumens with WUXGA resolution, this new device promises flexible installation thanks to its 360 degree positioning options.

Capable of maintenance-free operation of up to 20,000 hours, its laser phosphor light source can be used for mapping projections, as well as daily duty in educational institutions or public sector organisations.

The DU4371Z-ST is shipped from the factory with Crestron RoomView software for network monitoring and management, allowing the projector to be controlled and monitored centrally.

Beneath the hood is a DLP DarkChip3 with BrilliantColor, able to deliver a contrast ratio of 20,000: 1. There’s also a 3D synchronization port for compatibility with the passive 3D synchronization protocol for IR.

Using HDBaseT, images can be transmitted to the projector over long distances by cable, and a standard CAT5e / 6-LAN interface, which has been integrated in the DU4371Z-ST for digital audio content.

“Vivitek is known for its ability to integrate pioneering technology within a projector that is powerful, flexible and versatile, especially for space restricted installations,” says Holger Graeff, General Manager for Vivitek EMEA. “The DU4371Z-ST combines these qualities with high levels of reliability, making it a high value, long-term proposition for private and public sector organisations of all sizes.”

Available now, the DU4371Z-ST sells for £2,390 ex VAT.
