The UK AV industry charity campaign, in association with Together for Short Lives, expects to complete four more projects before Christmas, bringing the excitement of big-screen movies to youngsters too ill to visit commercial cinemas. "This charitable force is making such a difference to  the lives of terminally ill children," says Ian Morrish, sales manager at ISE and project overseer. "Thank you to everyone in the AV industry who has donated their products or services, every level of involvement is greatly appreciated!"

Two of the cinemas are already up and running, with two more expected to be completed imminently. The Ty Hafan Children's Hospice in Culverhouse is getting an installation courtesy of Gordon Innocent of RGB Communications.  Making a massive effort, Gordon is sourcing all products and has a tight three day schedule to commission the project.

The children at EllenorLions ChYps (Children and Young People's Service) hospice in Dartford are also looking forward to getting their viewing room installed in time for Christmas, courtesy of Pulse Marketing, with products donated by Panasonic via Richer Sounds, PsCo, Onkyo through Invision, Wyrestorm, Premier Mounts and Definitive Technology.

Thanks to Inside CI publisher Dave Slater and the team from DSE Digital, St Oswalds Hospice in Gosforth, Newcastle is already the proud owner of a home cinema room (pictured above). Dave worked with Ian to source the products, and through kind contributions from Habitech, Epson, Marantz, Sony, DemoPad, Current Audio, Lutron and Velodyne via Redline Distribution, the job was completed at the end of November.

Also up and running is a home entertainment room at Bluebell Wood Children's hospice in North Anston, Sheffield. The project was handled by ET Home Cinema, with donations from Sapphire Screens, JVC, Kaleidescape, Yamaha, Middle Atlantic through RGB Communications, Premier Mounts, Velodyne via Redline Distribution, Starscape, Lutron, HD Cable Ltd and Monitor Audio.

If you'd like to contribute time or products to upcoming children's charity projects scheduled for 2013, please contact Ian Morrish on 01372 454366.
