CEDIA has selected the Trinnov Audio Altitude 32 home theatre processor for its Reference Cinema Home Theatre, in the organisation’s new headquarters in Indiana. It will be run in a 11.4.8 configuration, with LCR speakers bi-amplified.

The Reference Cinema Home Theatre was designed and constructed by former CEDIA chairman Dennis Erskine and the Erskine Group. The room boasts a high degree of acoustical isolation in order to offer a maximum dynamic range, without distracting the office workspaces elsewhere in the building.

The high-end Altitude 32 is able to deliver 32 channels of Dolby Atmos (and with an upcoming firmware update, 30 channels of DTS:X Pro), and feature’s proprietary Trinnov Optimizer speaker room correction. Remapping technology allows for Auro 3D, DTS: X and Dolby Atmos soundtracks to be played back using the same speaker layout.

In addition to the Trinnov Altitude 32 processor, the CEDIA Reference system features Procella loudspeakers, a Barco Loki projector and a 206-inch-wide Stewart Filmscreen projection screen. A Kaleidescape Strato is the media source, with Lutron Ketra lighting and control by Crestron.

The CEDIA headquarters occupy a 40,000 square foot building in Fishers, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis. The centrepiece of the HQ is a 3,000 square foot smart-home Experience Centre. Styled after a residential environment, it features a main room, kitchen and bedroom, all equipped with install technologiescovering lighting, music, voice control, and Josh.ai.

The Experience Centre is available for client tours and demonstrations, including CEDIA member dealer presentations to potential customers. Multiple classrooms, as well as the Experience Centre and the Theatre will be used for training, including hands-on classes for advanced home theatre design and calibration.

The Trinnov 32 processor is available from Invision UK. For more news stories about Invision Cinema products and services, visit our resource page here.
