North West based Reuben’s Retreat is the latest children’s charity to receive a Cinema Room Installation from AV industry good cause enterprise Together for Cinema.
Together for Cinema, founded by industry veteran Ian Morrish, has pulled together suppliers from across the area to deliver and install over £30,000 worth of bespoke audio-visual equipment at the Glossop Retreat.
Together for Cinema recruited Cheadle based GLO AV to help create the Reuben’s Retreat’s installation and they generously provided the majority of audio visual equipment including a 85-inch flat screen TV, a boombox and a sound bar.
The Moo-Vie Room is a brand new addition to the newly opened wing at Reuben’s Retreat, which is a charity that supports families of complexly poorly children and families of child loss, and the new equipment will have a huge impact on the family services they provide.
Nicola Graham, founder of Reuben’s Retreat, said: “When we embarked upon our latest phase of the Retreat with a bespoke entertainment room in mind we never imagined having the absolute good fortune of being the beneficiary of a Together for Cinema installation. It’s hard to put into words the difference it will make to the families we support and we can’t thank Ian and his team enough for choosing us as part of his mission to help supported children experience the joy of cinema.”
Ian Morrish, Founder of Together for Cinema, said: “Working with Nicola Graham and her team has been an absolute pleasure. The story behind the Retreat is moving and inspiring, and we were delighted that Together For Cinema could help them further what they can offer to the children and their families. Greg Howarth and the Glo AV team were fantastic and really couldn’t do enough to help make it happen in time for Christmas. A big thank you to them. The opening was a great day and one of the real pleasures of what we do, seeing the difference and hearing of all the exciting plans for the room is heart-warming, and so rewarding.”
