TCL has announced a single bar Dolby Atmos enabled soundbar, the TS8111, as part of a three-strong, low-cost range heading to the UK early next year. TCL has stepped up its game when it comes to its flatscreen offering, and now hopes to carve a slice from the lucrative soundbar market.
A 2.1 solution, the TS8111 is a compact design with dual built-in subwoofers, and angled drivers plus acoustic radiators, used to deliver an immersive listening experience without claiming too much floor space. It’s also Bluetooth enabled for convenient music streaming.
When it launches in the UK in January, the Dolby Atmos TS8111 will retail for £199, significantly less than many rival Atmos propositions.
The model will be supported by the TS6100, a 2.0 Bluetooth soundbar with HDMI ARC, at £69, and the TS6110, a 2.1 alternative with separate wireless subwoofer, priced at £129. As with the TS6100 series, the TS6110 series also offers HDMI with ARC, and is wall mountable.
