Moving to take full advantage of the DCC Technology Division’s infrastructure in the region, proAV distributor Stampede has announced the integration of its UK and European operations into the DCC Exertis AV Solutions division.  According to Stampede President and CEO Kevin Kelly (pictured above far right), the move provides customers of Stampede and Exertis with a greater range of resource, products and support across those regions.

“This decision is all about leveraging the synergies that stem naturally from being an important component of a £14.3 billion revenue, London Stock Exchange listed (LSE) international sales, marketing and support services group that employs 11,000 people in four divisions operating in 17 countries,” explained Kelly.  “Exertis has an infrastructure in place that already meets the needs of more than 700 brands and 45,000 retailers and resellers throughout the UK, Ireland, continental Europe and beyond. Integrating Stampede UK into this infrastructure is going to provide our customers with a huge lift throughout the region, providing them with more products, people and support on an unprecedented scale.”

“Integrating the combined businesses of the Exertis and Stampede Pro AV divisions ensures we can offer greater value with an extended vendor portfolio and a comprehensive range of technical support that can provide resellers with AV solutions to meet any requirement in any vertical market,” said Warren Lewis, EMEA Head of Pro AV at Exertis. “Importantly, we have a team of highly experienced and knowledgeable people who can also tap into other product categories within the Exertis Group, providing resellers with a complete end-to-end solution for their customers.”

The UK and European operations of Stampede will be rebranded as Exertis Pro AV Solutions, led by Warren Lewis and supported by Kevin Kelly, Stampede President and CEO. Jody Hutchings, former Stampede Director of European Sales, will lead the UK sales operation reporting to Ian Aitken, Exertis UK Pro AV Director. The Nordic Stampede business will also be integrated into Exertis Pro AV Solutions, led by Fredrik Tidemar, Exertis Nordic Business Director. The French operations of Just Lamps will be managed by Christophe Mathis, Head of the Pro AV division at Exertis Connect.

This month Exertis also announced the appointment of Chris Bale to the newly created position of Head of Transformation, reporting to Gerry O’Keeffe, Exertis International, managing director. In this role, Bale will be responsible for leading operational and financial best practice across Exertis in Europe.

“I am delighted to welcome Chris to Exertis. He has gained extensive experience in business transformation and change management from his previous roles. His appointment will enable our businesses across Europe to improve their operational efficiency and productivity through not only sharing best practice but also adopting new ways of working that can drive growth, enhance profit and take advantage of new opportunities”, said O’Keeffe.

Bale joins from the Coop where, as head of investment appraisal and transformation finance, he played a pivotal role in supporting the company with their largest transformation programmes. Prior to that, he worked for 11 years at Ernst and Young helping corporates, their owners and lenders to improve performance and liquidity.

“I am joining the international division at Exertis at a fantastic time. The business has set out an exciting strategy of geographic expansion with a number of recent acquisitions already completed. I am looking forward to working with the country management teams to build programmes that can drive significant business improvements and help shape and implement integration projects that maximise the investment,” said Bale.

Stampede’s current operational structure in North America, Latin America and the entire Asia Pacific region (APAC) remains in effect, confirmed Kelly.
