SPECTRE, the 24th instalment in the indefatigable James Bond franchise, receives its World Premiere at the Royal Albert Hall tonight, and you can watch the live stream from the red carpet live on Inside CI. The stars of the film and Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry will attend the event.

Hosted by David Walliams, Susanna Reid and Rick Edwards, the coverage promises exclusive interviews with the cast and filmmakers as well as clips from the film – it should be well worth watching.

Inside CI recently caught up with the movie’s special effects supervisor Chris Corbould at a SPECTRE promotion with Gillette (which has launched its own Bond Moments advertising campaign), who says the movie was one of the most complicated he’s ever worked on. “We always had to be on our toes to keep up with Sam (Mendes)’s vision. Skyfall was a tough act to follow. We were constantly reviewing the screensplay.”

The pre-credit sequence is aguably the most elaborate in Bond history, and is certain to become a demo favourite when the title is released on Blu-ray next spring - believe us, it'll help sell some subwoofers! It takes place during the Mexican day of the Dead festival and involves a bravura tracking shot and some explosive action. The stunt work took seven months to prepare, says Corbould. “What you see is what you get really. We had an extra ordinary stunt pilot. Green screen? Absolutely not. Whenever you see that helicopter in wideangle it was flying over Zocalo square in Mexico. It was extraordinary.”
