Sonance is revamping its outdoor speaker proposition with the new Patio Series. Designed for smaller outdoor spaces and promising even, balanced audio coverage, the system comprises four satellite speakers and one in-ground subwoofer. It’s suitable for spaces up to 100 sq m. Distribution is via Habitech.
The satellite speakers use an 89mm anodised aluminium cone driver, while the subwoofer features a 203mm dual voice coil polypropylene cone. The lighting-like speaker housings and the textured brown finish allow Patio Series speakers to be hidden in a flowerbed, blending into their surroundings.
The system, which was unveiled at ISE 2020, can be expanded to include eight satellite speakers and two subwoofers when using a Sonance SR 2-125 DSP amplifier.
The new system replaces the band’s Sonarray solution. “We continually challenge ourselves to deliver the best outdoor audio experience to our customers,” explains Product Manager, Josh Blanken, “For years Sonarray has been a powerful solution for integrators looking to provide landscape audio systems for their customers at a high value price point. With Patio Series replacing Sonarray, integrators will now have the ability to provide class-leading performance and aesthetics, in much smaller spaces.”
