Sonance has expanded its range of sound system options for commercial and residential projects with the super-slim Pro Series 100V subwoofer and a compact active subwoofer cube. Distribution is through Habitech.
The Pro Series PS-S210SUBT bandpass subwoofer features an extremely shallow design which allows it to be deployed in a variety of specialised applications. Typical installations could see the device placed under furniture, on walls or mounted to the sides of rafters.
Boasting a slimline polyurethane-coated, laminated-plywood enclosure, the PS-S210SUBT measures 228 x 350mm, and accommodates twin 10-inch low profile, high excursion drivers. A choice front or side cabinet port locations offers additional installation versatility.
Able to drop to 44Hz at a maximum free-air SPL of 121dB, it’s designed to compliment Sonance Pro Series Pendant, In-Ceiling and On-Wall speakers.
The model features Sonance Laminated Core Technology Transformer (SLCT), to deliver a full-fidelity performance in either 70V or 100V mode, which when combined with a built-in low pass filter, allows it to be driven on the same feed as the other full-range loudspeakers in a system, avoiding the need for additional amplifier channels and DSP.
Joining it in the range is the Sonance S10-i active sub. Intended for smaller home theatre applications, this compact entry-level cube can add high output bass dynamics to satellite systems in dedicated or media room spaces.
Mounted to a textured black finish cabinet, and measuring just 300 x 310 x 320mm, it sports a 10-inch ultra-long throw woofer is driven by a low-distortion 275W (550W peak) amplifier.
The S10-i offers dual line-level inputs as well as volume, crossover, and variable phase controls. For more news about Habitech’s product portfolio and services, visit our resource page here.
