SnapAV has unveiled new security and home entertainment solutions as part of its Snap Pro Live virtual event.

The Control4 Chime Video Doorbell promises an unprecedented automation and a higher level of integration with Control4 homes and businesses. Available in black and satin-nickel, Chime features HD video with a 5MP camera, a 180-degree field view, and a built-in night mode for clear visibility at all hours of the day. It also enables natural two-way communications, allowing users to hear and speak at the same time.

Partnering the new Chime Video Doorbell SnapAV, also announced a brand-new family of Control4 T4 In-Wall and Tabletop Touchscreens. Shipping in November, the new panels automatically adjust to ambient light levels, have a faster processor, and upgraded microphone array and speakers.

High-strength magnets snap the screens into place on the base on in the wall. Eight models are available in white or black, 10- and 8-inch, and in-wall or tabletop versions.

SnapAV also unveiled a new line of compact Episode MEGA Subwoofers. Features include wired and wireless line inputs, IP control, and a companion app that gives users and dealers the ability to perfect the EQ and volume settings. Episode MEGA subs include sealed enclosures for controlled, clean bass in single and dual 8-, 10-, 12- and 15-inch driver configurations with up to 1000 watts of power.

In similar vein, SnapAV unveiled all-new Episode Response Series DSP Amplifiers (above), the brand’s first IP-controlled matrix amplifiers with full DSP capabilities and preloaded presets for Signature speakers. The new amplifiers offer multiroom audio in up to eight rooms, are IP-controlled for two-way setup and control with Control4 and other automation systems, and OvrC-compatible for fast remote software updates and troubleshooting. Their launch enables dealers to offer a full Episode multiroom audio solution, from audio switching and amplification to speakers and subwoofers.

The company has also expanded its lighting range, with the Control4 Wireless Receptacle Outlet Switch and Control4 Wireless Outdoor Plug-In Outlet Switch, which allow additional lights, fountains, and outdoor lighting to be incorporated into a Control4 ecosystem.

SnapAV unveiled a corresponding software update, v3.2, with support for new devices. New features include a History view that allows users to see what happened in their home throughout the day, so users can see who came to the door, when were the doors unlocked, when was the security system armed, and more.

“We want our products to provide a level of integration that makes your job much easier and increases the reliability of a system. We can assure this with our own products and, with an ongoing commitment to openness, with others willing to integrate,” CEO John Heyman told dealers during his Snap Pro Live Keynote Presentation. “We have shown how integral this is for our industry, and we will continue to solve real pain points for you and your customers.”
