Smart-e has launched a new VMX range of video wall processors. Combining video wall wall and matrix technology into a single package, they’re intended for control centres of all kinds, including traffic and network management to data centres and emergency services. The product range accommodates video walls of 8,16 and 36 connected displays.

All Smart-e VMX products come with seamless video switching and modular input and output blades as standard, and allow for centralised control via IP, RS232 and keypad. They can be used with HDMI, DVI, HDBaseT and 3G-SDI hardware configurations, and can be specified with analogue input cards, accepting RGBHV, YPrPb, Y/C and PAL/NTSC, with up-scaling to 1080p.

All models in the VMX range come with HDCP compliance and incorporate enhanced EDID management, allowing for multi-channel signal switching and distribution for commercial, educational and residential solutions. Size wise, integrators are offered 2U (8x8), 3U (16x16) and 7U (36x36) 19-inch rack mounting chassis.

“The VMX series is an accumulation of our extension knowledge of switching matrices together with video processing and software control,” says Jon Lane, Smart-e’s managing director.”

To explain the installation process, Smart-e is also providing dedicated product training sessions for installers.
