Sky is expanding its live UHD coverage to include the England One Day Internationals and Twenty20 cricket matches. Coverage will also allow Sky Q customers to experience multi-camera coverage in 1080 50p Hawk-Eye, with enhanced statistical offerings from CricViz.

UHD cricket joins Formula 1 races and Premier League. Owners of the Sky Soundbox will also receive tailored audio, to suit each sport.

The coverage, which will be broadcast by Sky Sports Cricket, will begin with England taking on Australia at the KIA Oval in June, and end with England’s clash with India at Headingley in July.

“Offering cricket fans all forms of the game in Ultra HD is another step forward for our ever-expanding range of Ultra HD Sports content, “ says Bryan Henderson, Sky Sports Head of Cricket. “Fans of T20 and ODI will now be taken closer to the action, excitement, and drama than ever before when Australia and India visit from June.”
