Sky has revealed that Sky Atlantic high-finance drama Billions has been viewed more than 11 million times through Sky’s various on-demand platforms – including Sky Box Sets, the Sky Go app and online streaming service Now TV.

In another shot across the bows of rival OTT services, the entire twelve-part series of Billions was made available to binge-watch, at the same time as the linear broadcast of the first episode.

The Tunnel: Sabotage, Camping and the second series of Alan Partridge’s Mid Morning Matters had the same treatment.

Within the first 24 hours alone, Billions was apparently downloaded 500,000 times, a record for any show on the Box Set platform. To date, episode one of the series has been viewed on demand more than 1.7 million times.
