Simaudio has introduced the Moon 390 Network Player Preamplifier. Designed as a high-end source solution, it features a DAC, preamplifier, headphone amplifier, MM/MC phono stage and network streaming functionality. The new unit will be on demo at the Munich High End audio show.

Essentially a combination of the brand’s Moon 350P preamplifier and Moon 380D DAC, it employs a High End ESS DAC PRO chipset and is built around Simaudio’s MiND 2 streaming module (MOON intelligent Network Device), which supports Tidal Masters, Qobuz Sublime+ and Deezer Hi-Fi.

The DAC handles PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz, DSD up to DSD256 and is MQA compatible. The Moon 390 is also Roon Ready, and supplements Wi-Fi with Bluetooth aptX connectivity.

In addition to network functionality, the MiND 2 also boasts a USB host port, for thumb drive playback. There’s also multi-zone support. The MiND 2 can  stream any digital or analogue input to other MiND 2 zones on the same network. There’s also an integrated HDMI 2.0 switcher which is HDCP 2.2 compliant.

Visitors to High End can hear the Moon 390 demo’d in Atrium 4, Room E-126. Munich High-End runs May 10-13.
