Cybernetics and AI will come under the spotlight at this year’s IFA+ summit. Moon Ribas and Stephen D. Larson have been confirmed as industry speaker’s at this year’s IFA think tank, which runs September 2-3.

Ribas is a Spanish artist who has had a sensor implanted into her foot, so that she can feel earth tremors tens of thousands of kilometers away, while Larson is working on the OpenWorm project, which aims to replicate the human nervous system virtually.

Science fiction or science fact? The lines between the two are blurring. That’s the message of this IFA summit. Other confirmed speakers include Garry Kasparov, ex-chess world champion, on Artificial Intelligence; Uma Subramanian, CEO of Airbus company Voom, and Jens Lambrecht, founder of the Berlin-based start-up Gestalt Robotics

Tickets for the IFA event are available at www.ifaplussummit.com for 599 euros.

IFA+ Summit visitors also get to experience the full IFA tech expo, with VIP trappings, including Fast Lane access, Trade Visitor Breakfast and Trade Visitor Lounge Meetings.
