The buzz surrounding Demopad looks likely to intensify following a tie-up between its developers and the Thinkflood Redeye Pro Home control group.
The Demopad home automation app is rapidly gaining traction with integrators looking for a low cost, bespoke control system for iOS devices. It allows integrators to design their own interface, using the DemoControlHD app and DemoDesign software, or build upon existing templates created by C3 CustomCodeCrafters.
Now, in addition to controlling IR, RS232 and TCP/UDP equipment, including Crestron, Rako and Lutron, Demopad can also be used to drive the RedEye Pro home controller. Mike Cain, director of DemoPad Software says the pairing opens up a wide variety of control options - "from simple, single-room systems to sophisticated multi-room installs, they can all be given a uniquely customisable interface, driven by open, scalable software." Mark Rowland, Digital Home product manager at RedEye distributor's Computers Unlimited adds: ""We're always looking for fresh ways to help installers deliver a flexible and unique end-user experience - that's exactly what the new DemoPad and RedEye pairing provides."
The RedEye Pro package offers system control over a broad range of equipment, including home AV, lighting, security systems, HVAC and other domestic hardware, through a single, slimline rack-mountable controller; the unit supports RS-232, Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The DemoControl HD app is available now at the Apple App Store, for £27.99. The DemoDesigner GUIcustomisation software can be downloaded free from www.demopad.com.
