Philips latest high-end 4k OLED, the OLED+935, will be available in three sizes: 48-, 55- and 65-inch screen sizes.
The set features a new 4th Gen P5 with AI Intelligent Dual Picture Engine, with a dedicated AI chip to improve image quality through intelligent analysis. AI functionality uses neural networks and machine learning to analyse millions of PQ test clips from a unique database created by the Philips TV development team.
The AI system boasts a new dedicated AI Machine Learn Sharpness function, an improved AI Smart Bit Enhancement system and an improved version of the Perfect Natural Reality (PNR) function.
The set will also debut proprietary anti-burn-in technology, to minimise damage from static channel idents and other screen furniture. An advanced logo detection function monitors a grid of 32,400 zones, to accurately detect static content and gradually reduce the intensity of its local light output and avoid burn‐in, without compromising the output of other parts of the screen.
Philips says the system removes the anti-burn problem for 95 per cent of static images, including logos and gaming content.
The screen features an all-new 3.1.2 Dolby Atmos sound system with Bowers & Wilkins Tweeter-on-Top technology (for greater dialogue clarity and detail) plus dedicated Dolby Atmos Elevation speakers. Ambilight is of the four sided variety.
HDR support covers both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ standards, with Filmmaker mode onboard (as part of its Movie image preset).
The set also has DTS Play-Fi support with multi-room audio capability.
Retail price TBA.
