Perlisten Audio’s ‘R’ Series loudspeakers are now available in the UK, via distributor Karma-AV. Positioned as a more affordable alternative to Perlisten’s flagship Signature ‘S’ Series, the range comprises the R7t 4-way tower, the 3-way R5t tower, a matching R5c centre model (pictured below), the stand-mounting R5m monitor, a 3-way R4s angled surround/height design, and a bookshelf version, the R4b.
The models utilise a DPC (Directivity Pattern Control) configuration of three 26mm silk domes and multiple or single 165mm HPF polymer woofers according to system size.
Supporting these designs is a range of four active subwoofers incorporating proprietary amplification, DSP and App control.
The name may be new to the UK, but has considerable AV credibility: Perlisten Audio is the first brand in the world to have received THX Dominus Certification, the newest and the largest performance class of THX Certification, effectively bridging the gap between large home theatre speakers and those used in commercial cinemas. Suitable for rooms up to 184 cubic metres and up to a 6m viewing distance, THX Dominus speakers are certified to reproduce very high SPLs with low distortion.
The R Series is available in a piano black finish, with piano white to follow. Typical retail prices range from £8,100 pair for the R7t to £1,600 each for the R4s model.
