Pearl Jam has announced that the Gigaton Visual Experience, an audio-visual event built around the band’s 11th album, Gigaton, will be free to all Apple TV owners and Apple TV app users, as well as iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac users, in over 100 countries for seven days before being available to rent or buy.
This immersive visual album will be available in Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision 4k from Apple TV.
Pearl Jam fans will have the unique opportunity to hear the album in a completely different way, says Gigaton producer Josh Evans. “I’m excited for fans to be able to immerse themselves in the sound and to hear the depth and layers of these songs and performances. It’s truly a unique way to experience this album.”
This is the latest application of Dolby Atmos and Dolby Visual within the music space, building on the brand’s pledge to bring artists and their vision closer to their audience.
