Optoma has announced its first 4K Ultra HD professional installation projectors, the high brightness 4K550 and its short throw cousin, the 4K550ST. Capable of 5000 and 4500 lumens respectively, the duo are intended for meeting rooms, simulators and corporate deployment.
The projectors are built around an advanced DLP single-chip UHD design from Texas Instruments, and promise High Dynamic Range (HDR10) compatibility. Their high brightness is well suited for CAD and architectural work, where brightness and detail clarity is prerequisite.
The 4K550 features a 1.6x zoom projection lens and both projectors have vertical lens shift for a quick and accurate installation. Connectivity includes twin HDMI, VGA, Audio in/out, USB power, along with integrated 2x5w sound system. RS232C and LAN connectivity supports integration and control within Crestron, IP Link, AMX and PJ-Link ecosystems. Both models have a 12v trigger.
