Oppo has launched a Blu-ray disc transport for the custom install market. The BDT-101CI features a modular design to suitable various applications. Installers can choose to have one or two HDMI outputs via an additional HDMI output module, or an HDBaseT output board, helpful for long long cable runs.

There’s also a choice of a stereo or 7.1ch analogue audio outputs and an optional rack mount kit. RS232 and IP control is available for system integration, supported by a switchable rear IR sensor for a clean IR blaster/emitter installation. The fascia boasts large front panel buttons with finger guards.

There are three customisable picture adjustment presets. Settings are lockable to prevent inadvertent changes. The player’s AV performance is said to be the same as that found on the BDP-103/105. However it does not come with the Interet apps seen on the consumer facing models.

The base two-channel model retails for £360. The 7.1ch add-on and second HDMI output boards are £66.50 respectively. The HDBaseT module retails for an additional £198.
