Onkyo Pioneer Apple Airplay 2 multiroom firmware released

Onkyo and Pioneer have confirmed the release of a firmware update that brings Apple AirPlay 2 multiroom support to a range of AV receivers and network players. Apple AirPlay 2 allows users to stream from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, to speakers throughout a home, in sync. It also allows for direct Siri voice control of compatible products.

Onkyo products receiving the update are as follows:
AV receivers: TX-RZ5100, TX-RZ3100, TX-RZ1100, TX-RZ830, TX-RZ730, TX-NR686, TX-L50
Home Theatre system: LS5200
Network stereo seceivers: TX-L20D, TX-8270

Pioneer products receiving the update are as follows:
AV receivers: SC-LX901, SC-LX801, SC-LX701,VSX-LX503, VSX-LX303, VSX-933, VSX-S520, VSX-S520D
Network stereo receiver: SX-S30DAB
