Pan-European AV connectivity distributor OneAV has partnered with wireless network solution company Cel-Fi, bringing the company into its portfolio of smart home products.

Half of all smartphone users still struggle with network issues, it suggests. With 80 per cent of phone calls being made inside, poor network, slow download speeds, or even signal loss can create problems for people using their phones at home and work. Cel-Fi optimizes cellular coverage in business, residential, and transportation applications, so users always have full coverage.

“Network coverage problems are something everyone has experienced at some point or another, and we’re thrilled we can now offer installers the chance to eliminate this from their client’s homes, offices, or even their vehicles,” says James Trumper, OneAV director. “We’re really happy to be the only distributor within the CI channel collaborating with Cel-Fi and see a great future ahead of us. “

One AV offers Trade account holders credit accounts, trade discounts, and easy-ordering.

Cel-Fi baseband processors are optimized to process radio frequency signals with low latency, for seamless operation between mobile networks and handsets for all 3G and 4G/LTE technologies and services.

The product range includes Quatra, which claims to deliver a wireless signal up to 1000x stronger than analogue boosters and passive DAS technology. It uses utilizing CAT 5e cabling for radio frequency and power over ethernet, with no signal attenuation right to the perimeter of the building.

“With smartphones being central to all personal and business communications, having poor mobile coverage in a private residence is unacceptable;” adds Colin Abrey, VP Channel Sales, EMEA at Nextivity. “By installing our cellular enhancement solution, such as Cel-Fi Quatra, not only does it provide seamless coverage throughout a building, it facilitates the remote management of smart home technologies. Our product range is the only one that is compliant with Ofcom‘s licence-exempt specification and works on all networks. We look forward to a prosperous business relationship with OneAV.”

OneAV is offering integrators training sessions which will enable them to install the Quatrasystem in less than a day. Tickets can be booked here.
