Moon has added a new stereo amplifier, the 700i v2, and streaming DAC, the 780D v2, to its audiophile two-channel range. Hailed as the most flexible ntegrated stereo amp yet from the brand, the 700i v2 features four unbalanced phono inputs alongside balanced XLR, and with a phono monitor loop, plus line-level outputs.
Power output is rated at a substantial 175 watts per channel, delivered by an oversized dual-mono power supply. The 700i v2 can also be integrated into a home theatre system, thanks to the ability for each input to bypass the volume control.
A cosmetic match, the 780D v2 DAC network streamer is Roon-ready and features MQA and DSD (64 - 256) decoding through every input. Both the Moon 700i v2 and 780D v2 are available in black, silver or two-tones finishes. The pair retail for £13,000 and £13,500 respectively.
