Monitor Audio has taken the wraps off its sixth generation Bronze Series of loudspeakers. Included in the eight strong line-up is the brand's first Dolby Atmos enabled upfiring speaker module.

And while the Bronze monicker may be familiar, the enclosures have had a significant upgrade in both components and finish.

Refinements includes a new Uniform Dispersion Waveguide, which combines with Monitor Audio’s trademark C-CAM Gold Dome Tweeter, to give even sound dispersion, improved time alignment and wider directivity.

The Bronze 50 and Bronze 100 bookshelf designs are joined by the Bronze 200 and Bronze 500 floorstanders. Home cinema installations benefit from the C150 centre channel, FX surround speakers and AMS upfiring module. Rounding out the range is the Bronze W10 subwoofer with 220W power output.

As we’ve come to expect from Monitor Audio, design is a high point. The speakers feature contrasting baffles and matching magnetic cloth-covered grilles.

The loudspeakers come in a choice of finishes: grey (grey wood vinyl and satin light grey front baffle), walnut (walnut wood vinyl and satin dark grey front baffle), white (white vinyl and satin light grey front baffle) and black (black vinyl and satin dark grey front baffle). A distinctive acoustically transparent hexagonal dispersion pattern on the tweeter covers lends the new Bronze line a premium feel, and allows light to catch the distinctive gold tweeter domes behind the grilles.

The designs are rear ported and tuned, to simplify positioning. Gold-plated terminals and Pureflow silver-plated oxygen-free copper internal cabling offer secure cable connectivity.
